1Getting started
- Open Fluxo. On the welcome screen, choose the video format (16:9 for YouTube/TV, 9:16 for Reels/TikTok, 1:1, 4:5, 21:9 or 4:3) and the mode (Simple or Pro) — or start right away from a ready-made template.
- Click Import media or drag videos, photos, music and GIFs into the window.
- In Simple mode, clips go in sequence onto the main track. Click a clip and apply filters, effects, animations and transitions from the library on the left.
- Play with Space. Split with S at the playhead position.
- Click Export (top right corner) and choose the file format.
2The Fluxo screen
- Library (left): Media, Sounds, Titles, Filters, Effects, Transitions, Animate, Elements, Stickers, Styles and Templates. Click an item to apply it to the selected clip, or drag it onto the clip on the timeline. Hover over a filter to preview it.
- Preview (center): move, enlarge and rotate the layer right on the screen with the handles. High / Medium / Light quality makes the preview lighter on simple computers (the export always comes out at maximum quality).
- Inspector (right): all the settings of what is selected, in tabs (Image, Color, Effects, Animation, Speed, Audio…).
- Timeline (bottom): video tracks on top, audio tracks below. The last video track is the main one, magnetic: moving or trimming clips leaves no gaps (the magnet turns on and off). When you delete a passage, you choose whether the space stays empty or closes.
- Simple × Pro (Tab): the same project; Pro shows keyframes on everything, curves, masks, blending, expressions and all parameters.
3Timeline
- Click a clip: selects it and moves the playhead to the clicked point.
- Drag to move; pull the edges to trim; S splits; Delete deletes and asks what to do with the space the passage occupied: Keep the empty space (the rest does not move) or Delete and close the space (what comes after moves back) — this also applies to the magnetic main track; Ctrl+Delete deletes keeping the space and Shift+Delete deletes closing the space, without asking; Ctrl+D duplicates.
- Effects in sight: each clip shows tags with its filters, effects, animations and motions. Click a tag to open its setting in the inspector, the × to remove it, or right-click to turn it on/off.
- Video clips with sound show the waveform.
- Right-click a clip: split, duplicate, separate/rejoin audio, replace media (keeps effects and animations), crop and fill the screen, group, freeze frame, copy and paste effects.
- Keyframes appear as diamonds on the clip: drag to change the time; right-click to change the curve, delete, copy and paste.
4Fine-tuning the controls
Every numeric value in the inspector has small arrows ▲ ▼ next to the number box:
- One click goes up or down one step; holding, the value keeps changing.
- Shift + click = a step 10 times bigger; Alt + click = a step 10 times smaller.
- With the box selected, the mouse wheel and the keyboard arrows also adjust.
- Everything you do while holding the arrow becomes a single undo step.
You can also drag a value's name sideways (as in After Effects) or type the number.
5Ready-made templates
The Templates tab (or the welcome screen) has complete projects — channel intro, lyric video, AMV / edit to the beat, photo album, vertical Reels/TikTok, vlog with name on screen and promo — with effects, texts, transitions and music already set up. Their texts come in the language chosen in the Workspace.
- Choose a template. It replaces the current timeline (Ctrl+Z undoes).
- The striped slots with + are waiting for your media: drag a video or photo from the Media tab onto them, or select the slot and click the media.
- Change the texts by clicking them. Done.
6Crop and fill the screen
To use a landscape video in a portrait project (or the other way round), or to zoom in on part of the scene:
- Right-click the clip › Crop and fill the screen… (or in the inspector, Image tab, Crop and fill section).
- A grid in the format of the final video appears over the whole image. Drag the grid to choose the region and pull the corners to enlarge or shrink it (the format is kept).
- Largest possible and Center help with framing. Apply (or Enter) makes the chosen region fill the screen; Cancel (or Esc) gives up.
This is different from Crop edges (Crop section), which only hides the edges without enlarging.
7Color: filters, color wheels and LUTs
- Filters: 44 ready-made looks (Cinema, Teal & Orange, Anime, Cyberpunk, Vaporwave, Vintage, Super 8, VHS, B&W…). Hover to preview and click to apply.
- Inspector's Color tab: brightness, contrast, saturation, temperature and more.
- Color wheels (Color tab › Use color wheels): three wheels — Shadows, Midtones and Highlights. Drag each wheel's dot toward the desired color and use each one's brightness control. There are also ready-made presets in Effects › Color.
- .cube LUTs: import LUT files for professional grading.
8Chroma key (green screen)
To replace the green background (or blue, or any color) with another setting:
- Put the green-screen video on a track above the new background (video or photo).
- Select the video and, in the Image tab, turn on Chroma key (remove background). It starts with the default chroma-key green and settings that work for most videos.
- If some background remains, click Pick from video (eyedropper) and click the background color in the preview. While you pick, the preview shows the original video; the small square shows the color under the mouse. Esc cancels.
- Fine-tune:
- Tolerance: how much of the chosen color (and similar tones) becomes transparent.
- Noise: cleans up specks and flaws in the removed part and in the person.
- Edges: shrinks the outline to remove the green fringe; Soften edges makes the cutout soft.
- Opacity: how much of the removed background still shows (0% = fully transparent).
- Remove spill: removes the green tint that “leaked” onto hair, skin and clothes.
- In Pro mode, Transition controls the passage between what stays and what disappears.
- Turn on View mask to tune precisely: what should stay must appear white and the background black. Turn it off at the end.
9Effects and masks
There are 50 GPU effects, with 86 ready-made variations: glow, light rays, RGB, glitch, VHS, CRT, blurs, distortions, kaleidoscope, chroma key, outline, shadow, light leak and many others. Every parameter accepts keyframes.
Masks
- Image (or Position) tab › Mask: ellipse, rectangle or Freehand (points), with edge feathering and an invert option.
- In freehand, click Edit points on screen: drag the points; click a line to create a new point; right-click a point to delete it. Smooth curves makes the outline rounded (Bézier).
- Rotoscoping: turn on the option, advance the video a few frames and reposition the points to follow the object — each adjustment becomes a keyframe and Fluxo animates the mask between them. Points keyframe records all of them at once.
10Titles, stickers, emojis and GIFs
- Titles: 37 ready-made ones (neon, gradient, outline, comics, news, quote, gold, fire, 3-2-1 countdown…), many animated letter by letter. Click the text to edit; font, color, outline, shadow, glow and box are in the Text tab.
- Stickers: 29 drawn stickers (WOW!, BOOM, arrows, highlight circle, speech bubbles, like, subscribe, bell, heart, fire…) already animated, and 88 emojis. Click to place at the playhead.
- Animated GIFs: import a .gif file (or animated WebP/PNG). It becomes a layer that loops for as long as the clip lasts — including with a transparent background.
11Animations, motions and drone
- Animate › In / Out: 41 animations (appear, pop, slide, spiral, card flip, 3D tumble, glitch, flash…).
- Animate › Motion: 39 continuous motions — camera shake, handheld camera, Ken Burns, breathe, pan, pulse, float, jelly, 3D sway and orbit, and reactions on the beat of the music.
- Drone (flyover): turns a still photo or video into a drone flight — forward flyover, orbit, reveal rise, descent, side pass, top view, pull back and fast FPV. Mirrored edges turn on automatically so no empty corner shows. Adjust Intensity and Speed in the inspector.
- Keyframes: in Simple mode, the Keyframe button (K) records position, scale and rotation. In Pro, the diamond next to any value; curves with a Bézier editor.
123D camera
In Elements › 3D camera you add a camera that moves the whole scene: orbit, dolly (push in), pull out, zoom, crane, drone, Dutch tilt, handheld, shake and beat.
- The camera sits on its own track, at the top. While the camera clip lasts, all layers are seen through it.
- Layers with different depth (Z, in the 3D section) create parallax: the near ones move more than the far ones.
- Camera animation: position, orbit, tilt (X/Y), distance and perspective, all with keyframes.
- A layer can ignore the camera (3D section › 3D camera: ignore) — useful for fixed logos and captions.
13Particles, elements and groups
- Particles (Elements): 18 types — sparkles, snow, rain, confetti, bokeh, fireflies, hearts, embers, bubbles, petals, autumn leaves, smoke, fireworks, hyperspace, magic spiral and glitter — with amount, size, speed, wind and colors.
- Shapes (with an outline that draws itself), solid colors, gradients and adjustment layers (effects on everything below).
- Group (precompose): select several layers and use Ctrl+G (or right-click › Group). They become a single Group clip: position, 3D, mask, color, effects, animations and transitions applied to it affect all of them together. The sound of the videos inside keeps playing. To edit the inner layers, Ungroup (Ctrl+Shift+G).
14Transitions
58 transitions: dissolve, dip to black, flash, passing light, film burn, zoom, spin, whip, push, cover, stretch, waves, swirl, glitch, RGB, pixelate, 3D cube and flip, wipe, circle, clock, blinds… Drag a transition to the join between two adjacent clips, or select the incoming clip and click it. The sound also crossfades smoothly during the transition.
15Audio
- Sounds: 21 sound effects generated by Fluxo itself (whoosh, riser, impact, 808, glitch…), royalty-free.
- Audio tab: volume (up to 200%), left/right pan, fade in and fade out.
- Separate audio from video (right-click the clip or Audio tab): the sound becomes its own clip on the audio track, which you can move, cut and adjust separately. Rejoin audio to video undoes it.
- Auto-lower (ducking): turn it on for the background music and it lowers automatically whenever another sound (voice, speech, effects) is playing. Choose how much to lower (3 to 36 dB).
- Click-free cuts: pieces cut from the same video continue the sound without a glitch at the join, in the preview and in the exported file.
- Beats: detect the music's beats, cut on the beats or build the video to the rhythm automatically; mark beats by hand with M.
16Speed
Speed tab: from 0.1x to 10x, 14 ready-made curves (Hero, Bullet, Montage, Velocity, Double impact, Dramatic ending, Timelapse…), curve editor, freeze frame and reverse.
17Exporting the video
Click Export (Ctrl+E), choose the format, the codec, the resolution (up to 4K), the frames per second and the quality.
Export audio only (MP3 or WAV)
At the top of the export window, choose Audio only (MP3 / WAV) — or use ⋯ › Export audio only. Fluxo records the project's full mix (videos, music, sound effects, volumes, fades and ducking):
- MP3 (44.1 kHz stereo; 128, 192, 256 or 320 kbps): small file, plays anywhere. The first time, Fluxo downloads the MP3 encoder (lamejs, about 150 KB) and keeps it in the browser; without internet that first time, use WAV.
- WAV (48 kHz stereo, 16-bit): lossless, studio quality, always works, even offline. The file is larger (about 11 MB per minute).
Video
| Format | Video codecs | What for |
|---|---|---|
| MP4 | H.264 (AVC) or H.265 (HEVC) | The most compatible: social media, phones, TVs |
| MOV | H.264 or ProRes 422 (Proxy, LT, Standard, HQ) | Professional editing (Final Cut, Premiere, DaVinci) |
| MKV | H.264, H.265, VP9 or AV1 | Archiving and players such as VLC |
| WebM | VP9 or AV1 | Websites and browsers |
| AVI | H.264 or Motion JPEG | Older programs and devices |
- Fast export (on by default): Fluxo reads the videos directly, frame by frame, without waiting for the player — much faster. If a file is not compatible, it falls back to the old mode by itself.
- H.265/HEVC only appears if the computer has the encoder (common in Chrome/Edge on Windows with a recent graphics card and on Mac).
- ProRes creates large files and takes longer (it is encoded by Fluxo itself); the sound goes as lossless PCM.
- On some computers (Chrome on Linux) the browser does not encode AAC: the MP4 comes out with Opus sound, which plays in modern players and VLC.
18Saving and opening projects
- The project is saved automatically in this browser (with the media). Ctrl+S saves right away.
- ⋯ › Download project file (.json) creates a file with the whole edit; Open project file brings it back (the media are relinked by name).
- Export frame (camera icon in the preview) saves the current image as PNG.
- Inside the Workspace, if you try to close Fluxo's tab during an export, it asks first.

20Browsers and requirements
Use an updated Chrome or Edge (it also works in Opera and in recent versions of Firefox). Exporting video uses the browser's WebCodecs feature. Title fonts come from Google Fonts; offline, the text uses a system font. Long 4K videos require a computer with plenty of memory.
21Inside the Nebulosa Workspace
- Help menu: the Help button at the top has: User manual, Keyboard shortcuts, Terms of use, Privacy, Credits and licenses and 🌐 Language. The manual and the legal pages open in a window inside the program itself (you can switch between them with the buttons at the top of the window; Esc closes it).
- Open Fluxo from the side menu, from its card on the home page or from the search (Alt + K).
- The Appearance button at the top of the Workspace switches Fluxo's look between its original look and Nebulosa Default (purple, navy blue, orange and yellow). The choice applies only to this program and is remembered.
- The Language button (🌐) at the top of the Workspace — or Help › 🌐 Language inside the program — switches the menus and texts between Português do Brasil (the default), English and Español. The choice applies to all programs and is remembered. Titles and templates you add from then on are created in the chosen language; what is already in the project is not translated.
- If you close Fluxo's tab with changes not yet saved to a file, the Workspace asks before closing.
- The shortcuts Alt + 1…9 and Alt + 0 (home) work even with the focus inside the program.
- Fluxo also opens on its own, outside the Workspace, at its folder's address (for example
…/apps/fluxo/) or from the single HTML file.
